Lorex security camera systems include a recorder with large, security-grade hard drives. These hard drives are built to save footage without stopping and will continuously overwrite the oldest data for the newest once the hard drive is full. The length of time is therefore dependant on factors such as hard drive size, number of cameras, recording resolution, and frame rate. Typically, however, it is good practice to keep footage for at least 30 days. The hard drives within Lorex recorders can easily be upgraded to larger sizes as well to provide longer save times.
