Notes & disclaimers
- 4K (8MP) IP cameras are required to take advantage of 4K recording.
- Recording time may vary based on recording resolution and quality, lighting conditions and movement in the scene.
- Accessing your security system remotely requires a high-speed Internet connection. Ensure your NVR has a wired connection to a router (not included). A minimum upload speed of 6Mbps is recommended for reasonable video performance.
- HDMI output supports 4K HD for high definition multi-channel live or recorded video viewing. Image quality and resolution is dependent on the type of camera connected to the NVR, as well as TV/monitor resolution.
- ⁵ All connected cameras do not typically draw maximum power at the same time. If the total power demand exceeds the NVR’s PoE power budget, recording performance may be temporarily affected.

- Audio recording is disabled by default. Audio recording without consent is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Technology does not assume liability for any use of its product that fails to conform with local laws.
- Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered location recommended.
- * A microSD card can be inserted for independent recording. Data can be accessed through the camera using a web browser but will not upload to the NVR or to the cloud for mobile app viewing.

Great 4K Camera with Top-Tier AI and Night Vision
"As a low-voltage contractor who installs and services commercial security systems for a living, I get to test a lot of hardware. After using the Lorex Connect X5 for some time, it has genuinely impressed me. The True AI Color Night Vision is phenomenal—it provides crisp, full-color footage even in very low-light conditions, capturing details that standard IR cameras miss entirely. The AI video analytics are also incredibly sharp. The person and vehicle detection are highly accurate, which significantly cuts down on false alarms, and features like loitering detection and heat mapping add massive value to the system. Combined with the crystal-clear 4K resolution and straightforward PoE installation, this is a fantastic, reliable camera for any serious security setup."
