"Unlike other Lorex cameras, this one comes online with only the usual Lorex Classic app aggravation. Because the cable cannot be unplugged from the device, it is necessary to make a hole in your house big enough to pass a USB-A connector. Limited base motion limits physical installation options. For example, you cannot mount the base to a ledge and aim the camera down. Cable length is very generous, which spared me using an extension cord for AC power. As will all Lorex cameras, live view is extremely slow to load, if it loads at all ("Something went wrong" after several minutes)."

"It works as designed and advertised. I had the opportunity to speak with a technical associate who helped with my purchase. He was extremely helpful. My only issue is the size of the power plug-in. I have plugged into a waterproof outdoor receptacle, and it is too large to close the door on the plug. Do you make or is there a smaller power plug that will accept the USB plug? Overall it is an excellent product and the customer service was equally good. Thank you."
I recently upgraded from Lorex
"I recently upgraded from Lorex 2K cameras to the 4k cameras to get a wider field of view and higher definition. Both the 2k and 4k cameras are excellent choices for security monitoring. I would not hesitate to recommend either one. Connection to the mobile app is easy. Adding an NVR (also connects to the mobile app) provides secondary remote secure expanded video storage (secondary to the storage already provided in the cameras). In addition to the mobile app, PC based monitoring software is also available and easy to use."

- The power cable is 12 VDC, 0.55 A, max 6.6 W, with a length of 9.8 ft. It can be routed through an exterior wall into a garage outlet if installed properly.
