"After a couple of weeks I found the camera is reliable using 5Ghz wifi. I don't have a wifi6 capable router. Router is three walls and 20 feet away. Settings are easy to adjust. I have a 150 down and up internet plan so remote viewing is quick. A good alternative to buying an NVR or cloud storage is the onboard sim card."
16 Lorex Cameras doing fine
"I have been buying Lorex equipment for a while now and have spent a bunch of money on Wi-Fi cameras. By now I wish I had gone with PoE cameras but although complete systems were not expensive, I was put off by the idea of paying to have Ethernet cable installed, which I did anyway for my home LAN. In any event I currently have a total of 15 cameras and 1 video doorbell. These are composed of: 1 LOREX 2K VIDEO DOORBELL B451AJ-Z 8 LOREX 4K 180° CAMERA W891UAD 5 LOREX 2K CAMERA W461ASC 2 LOREX 4K CAMERA W881AAD I have ordered two more LOREX 4K CAMERA W881AAD to replace two LOREX 2K CAMERA W461ASC. The change is not due to picture quality but to move move devices to 5g on Wi-Fi and reduce strain on 2g. You can imagine that I am satisfied with the overall performance of these cameras. I have had 1 of the 180 degree prematurely die but other than that I have not had major issues."

"I think I would have been better off ordering a system from Temu. And after an average 1 hour on hold when calling Lorex tech support, finally get someone that doesn't know how to resolve my issue. I've had this system for 3 weeks and still have not got one camera view to show up on the monitor. I want to return it all of the equipment at this point."

Limited mounting options, slow live view
"Unlike other Lorex cameras, this one comes online with only the usual Lorex Classic app aggravation. Because the cable cannot be unplugged from the device, it is necessary to make a hole in your house big enough to pass a USB-A connector. Limited base motion limits physical installation options. For example, you cannot mount the base to a ledge and aim the camera down. Cable length is very generous, which spared me using an extension cord for AC power. As will all Lorex cameras, live view is extremely slow to load, if it loads at all ("Something went wrong" after several minutes)."

- No, Lorex Home Center is not compatible with the W881 camera.

- They have to be powered by a cable, they are not battery-operated cameras.

- The only way to get the camera signal through a TV is to pair it with a compatible Fusion recorder that supports a connected monitor for local access.
