The HDD failed after one

"The HDD failed after one week of operation. It would not write data despite my attempts of reformatting several times. I asked for a replacement and they didn't have any in stock so they sent me a new NVR of which I had to remove the 6TB HDD from it, install it in my originally purchased NVR, and then send them back the NVR they sent me plus the bad HDD. Hmmm."

The hard drive was easy

"The hard drive was easy to install and was plug and play ready to go. I purchased 2 drivers so it would more than double my hard drive space I never installed the second drive because they did not include the special screws to mount it and they also didn't include a cable that is needed. I ended up returning the second drive since it was overkill and Lorex took it back with no problem"

We've only had the camera

"We've only had the camera system installed for two weeks, but so far, once we figured out how to configure it properly, (ie. using the NVR set up for motion zones vs the phone app), it works great. The two 10TB hard drives are supposed to last for about 65 days, but that is obviously yet to be seen. Thus, in response to your review request, I'll only give it 3 stars (an average review. ) The only major drawback I've noticed so far, is when I turn off the monitor connected to the NVR or do certain other things with the NVR, it requires a new sign-in. Since we don't have a keyboard on the NVR, that can become cumbersome. Is there a way to connect a keyboard to the NVR?"

Installation was simple and straight

"Installation was simple and straight forward. Manipulating the software isn't as user friendly as I would like to see. I've only spent about 10 minutes but still can't figure out how to change the camera description. I was hit with a prompt for the "camera password" without any information as to what the heck that would be. Is it camera specific? Is there a default? Can't find this info anywhere. So that means more calls to the support line for simple things that a user shouldn't have to bother them with. Once I get that figured out it'll be fine but overall I'm happy with the system."

Was assisted over the phone,

"Was assisted over the phone, the technician was able to diagnose the problem and recommended a new hard drive. I ordered a replacement hard drive from Lorax which was an exact replacement for my system . Easy installation and unit was back up and working. Thank you."

"Price is right, installation was easy. only complaint was I directly asked if they would come installed and told they would be installed but very easy to take out the smaller hard drive and plug in the larger hard drives no need to do any formatting just plug and go!"
