"Concept is good, for me. 360° panning camera that installs into light socket. Unfortunately the hardware & software has several shortcomings. Squirrels market as persons, shadows same. Missed persons. Notifications not stored to SD card. Deleting stored videos is not ideal. I could go on."
"I bought this product with high hopes, but unfortunately, it started malfunctioning within just seven days. The notifications are unreliable, and it frequently fails to record important events. For example, when I walk toward my car, it detects and records me, but then fails to capture the car leaving. Similarly, when a vehicle enters my driveway, it records the vehicle arriving but often does not record the people getting out of the vehicle afterward. These are exactly the types of events I expected the device to capture. Missing important activity like this makes it difficult to rely on the product for security purposes. It has been extremely frustrating, especially considering it started happening within the first week of use."

"Have several issues. Camera not tracking full person activity in view events. Records first 20-30 seconds when entire event is 3-5 minutes. Camera is set to maximum sensitivity for tracking. Camera does not reliably capture person events, misses numerous person activity events in their entirety. I have different brand cameras capturing the same area and they reliably capture full events that your camera truncated or missed entirely. I verified via time stamps. Both cameras have the same time zone and clock day/time. The iOS app frequently locks up when switching between live mode and playback mode. iOS frequently is unable to connect to camera. It errors out when trying. Rebooting app sometimes resolves it. Sometimes times I physically check the camera and it does not have the green led turned on. This option is verified to be turned on in settings. Sometimes the camera recovers on its own. Other times I have to cycle power to it to regain operation. The entire point of having a security camera is to record activity and events. I am very disappointed with it in this respect. On a positive note the light feature is very bright."
"You have to be very careful screwing in this unit because if you twist the camera by the wrong section you can sever all the internal wires and thus cut power to unit; especially if there is any resistance to screwing it in, ie obstruction from the light fixture. I couldn't fit my hand to the top of the unit to screw in from the top where it connects with bulb socket so I screwed in from the bottom and that is how it broke as the fat part of the camera didn't quite fit all the way up the fixture as I screwed it in and I forced it a bit too much. I missed the return window with Bestbuy and thus had to go through Lorex warranty and this was a very cumbersome process with a difficult to understand agent that took about an hour on phone and I'm still working through that process and the higher ups have to approve the warranty claim and they promised a call back. I did buy 2 of these and 1 of them works great after using a 1" extender that I bought on Amazon (Lorex sells extenders too but much more expensive); and I am very satisfied with it. It can follow anything that triggers it and has provided very interesting activities that happens near front door of my house all night long including raccoons and possums. For some reason I have had to reset the position a few times as it gets off track for its default positioning but that is pretty minor and hasn't been a problem lately. Also be sure to get a micro sd card for it as you will need storage or you will need to get a cloud subscription. No monthly subscription is needed if you get a card. So don't force anything when installing I think is the key advice. Otherwise I'd a solid camera at a very fair price for the incredible technology of this. If it won't screw in then get an extender or back off; they don't give you any warning about this in the install instructions. Maybe partially my fault but since there was no warning about this, I don't feel bad about making warranty claim and hopefully getting a replacement. I didn't realize that when I was twisting the bottom that the top was not turning too; hopefully that makes sense."

"The picture quality is really good. There are a couple glitches though. The light loses brightness over time and the only way to restore it is to reboot the camera. The automatic scheduling system for the light doesn't always work correctly. Sometimes the detection features misses people, only marking it as motion."
