"Had this NVR system for a year and it started stuttering during live view and playback, and making noises like it was dying. Since the warranty was up, I thought the hard drive was going bad. So I took out the hard drive and ordered another hard drive online. Hooked the machine back up while I waited to receive the new hard drive, and it continued making the “dying” noises without the hard drive in it. So I installed the new hard drive and the noises and stuttering continued. Then I spent over $500 on another Lorex NVR to replace it. The new one doesn’t make noises (yet) but also stutters during live view and playback. Not happy and don’t recommend anyone buying this system."

- Hi I already have a couple of different Lorex systems installed. I have my eye on this H models/system for the two way communication capability. I will be using my iphone to communicate is that possible? Can the system be set up without a monitor, just using the iphone? Thanks
- For the very first installation, you need to connect a monitor and a mouse to set up a password and the cameras. After that, you can connect your phone to monitor the cameras remotely.
- Lorex n842A8-7D19 camera is showing off line another 2 are not detected at all. Please advise how to correct this issue
