1. 4K capable recorder (not included) is required to record video in 4K resolution. 4K TV (not included) is required to view live or pre-recorded 4K video.
2. Audio recording is disabled by default. Audio recording without consent is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Technology does not assume liability for any use of its product that fails to conform with local laws.
3. Smart Motion Detection is enabled by default. When enabled, the camera's recording frame rate is reduced from 30 frames per second to 20 frames per second. To obtain the maximum of 30 frames per second, the camera must be connected to a recorder that supports the maximum frame rate. 4. Color nighttime video typically switches to black & white IR night vision when there is not sufficient ambient light to ensure optimal low-light image quality.
5. Stated IR illumination range is based on ideal conditions in typical outdoor nighttime ambient lighting (up to 98ft/30m in total darkness). Actual range and image clarity depends on installation location, viewing area and light reflection/absorption.
6. In order for Person and Vehicle detection to operate, this camera requires a connection to a compatible Lorex Network Video Recorder with smart motion detection technology. For a list of compatible recorders please visit: lorextechnology.com/compatibility
7. Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered area recommended.
8. A microSD card can be inserted for independent recording. Data can be accessed through the camera using a web browser but will not upload to the NVR or to the cloud for mobile app viewing.

"App don't work 90 percent of the time. 3 years in and the hard drive crapped out. Been dealing with the extended warranty extend and I'm on 2 weeks waiting for a replacement or a fix. I've referred many people to lorex but with this quality and extended service option, I may have to change my mind."

33% of time does not work & bad customer service

"I’m extremely disappointed with my experience dealing with Lorex customer service. I purchased my first set of camera equipment on July 31, 2023. After doing more research, I realized there was a better system suited to my needs. Unfortunately, I missed the return window at the time. I have equipment worth $678. 30 now sitting unused in my basement, which could likely have been repurposed as open-box or refurbished inventory giving me a chance to save money and remain a satisfied customer. Instead, I ended up spending over $2,000 in total just to get a system that actually works for my needs. Over the past 7–8 months, only 3 out of my 7 cameras have been functioning. Troubleshooting has been extremely difficult firmware updates are hard to find, and support documentation is unclear. I even had to bring in a technician, who confirmed that one of the cameras had completely failed. The customer service experience only made things worse. When you want to buy something, you’re one click away from the sales department. But when you need help with defective equipment, you’re sent through an endless maze of departments, questions, and delays without any real resolution. I reached out hoping for some level of support even just a refurbished replacement . since my warranty had only just expired when I made the request. Unfortunately, that was denied, and I was told I would need to purchase new equipment instead. Missed opportunity: Could have accepted returned equipment for refurbishment or open-box resale Could have retained a loyal customer by offering partial credit or replacement Could have applied current trade-in flexibility to earlier cases like mine Instead, pushed for additional purchases rather than resolving existing issues It’s incredibly disappointing to invest in what’s marketed as professional-grade equipment, only to have it fail in less than a year and receive little to no meaningful support afterward. I chose Lorex because I trusted the brand, but this experience has made me feel like once they have your money, you’re on your own. I wish Lee Valley Tools sold cameras they are known for top-tier customer service and prove that treating customers well is still profitable. A happy customer is what fuels a business. Overall, between unreliable equipment and frustrating customer service, I cannot recommend Lorex."

Mostly happy!

"Happy with the video quality and the Lorex Pro App. If there’s one thing I’m a little disappointed in, it’s the color night vision. Takes quite a bit of light for it to kick in, so most of my cameras default to infrared, which is frustrating when paying extra for that option."

"The cameras looked good installed. The base to lock the camera on was tough to get right with the locking screw. The NVR worked great. I just need to figure out how to get the audio to record. I follow the steps and it doesn't seem to be recording audio."

Not the quality i expected

"Quality isn't as good as i thought it would be. Can't see clear from my house to the sidewalk. Very disappointing. Can tmake out anything past 10 ft. Depicted is the big logo on my truck can barley make it out. Hard time for license plates"

How much wire does this package include? Or do I have to buy it separately for each camera?
It will come with a 60ft Cat5 cable for each camera.
What is the distance I can run the Cat5 to a camera.
The PoE ports on the NVR will power the cameras if connected with a cable no longer than 300 feet; if you need to connect the camera with a longer cable, you must connect it to a separate power cable or install a PoE switch to split the distance.
