"I purchased a 16 camera digital system. 15 of the cameras worked fine, but one of them could not be recognized by the DVR and therefore does not work. I asked Lorex for a replacement and they refused because I was one day past the 30 day return window. Therefore, I had to buy another camera (this one) to replace the defective one. I don't understand their policy because I purchased a 2 year additional policy ($150. 00). Their support is very hard to work with."
"Did not replace one of my existing cameras. Had to buy new ones. Spent 2 hours on the phone with warranty and sales depts only to be disconnected. Furthermore the one camera that did get covered by the warranty, Lorex sent me a white camera when I requested a black one. Not happy with the service I received."

"These were supposed to be plug and play camera's, however it has not worked out that way. Most did not work that when installed and hooked up, so once we have all installed we will reach out to support to resolve the issues. Support is easy to access and quick, however we need to install all camera's (16) before reaching out, otherwise we would have to make 14 calls. We also have a switch as we intend to install another 4 (20 total) and we have not been able to connect the switch to the NVR without support (again waiting until installation is complete so hopefully all will be resolved at once). We had also purchased 2 wireless camera's (from Lorex with the other items)to avoid some wiring, however they to not function with these NVR's, would have expected Lorex to let me know that when they were purchased. The camera's that are hooked up work very well, great resolution and pretty easy to install. Software that is available is also very good, we are a retirement home, and they have things like mask recognition which is helpful in our situation. We are having problems installing software on local computers as it requires admin access and most business don't allow installation of these types of programs and do not grant admin priviledge."
"We recently upgraded our DVR-based security system to an NVR setup with A4 4MP IP cameras. The difference in quality is significant—our old BNC analog cameras simply couldn’t compare to the clarity and performance of the new IP cameras. The image resolution is much higher, and overall reliability has improved greatly with the new system. We’re very satisfied with the upgrade."

"If your ever interested in getting cameras for your home, look no further than Lorex. I have personally used or installed 10+ systems over the past several years for family members and all systems are working just as well today as they did when we first powered on the system. While you may be concerned about cost up front, you should definitely make the investment to avoid those pesky fees over time."
