"I thought these cables were extensions, like extension cords but they are not. They have the cat5e male on both ends where a extension cord would have one male and one female end. I made it work by purchasing a female - female cat5e box off Amazonm to connect to males ends."

- We have the Lorex System N842 Series. Our DVR was connected to our ATT router/modem via a Wi-Fi extender using the Ethernet cable included with system as our modem is not close to our Lorex DVR. ATT as discontinued and no longer supports their Will-fi extenders and is going to wireless extenders. Will this longer Ethernet cable connect from DVR to the ATT wi-fi Gateway which is on the other side of our room?
