"There is no microphone to listen in. I was surprised when it included a speaker and warning lights, but no microphone. I have to spend time changing them out to another brand for my client who requested audio recording and 4K video. Its too bad that these options aren't offered in an analog product from Lorex. Decent picture otherwise."
The notifications for vehicle and
"The notifications for vehicle and person detection don't work. It sends notifications all the time for vehicles and people when there's nobody there. But if I lower the sensitivity then it won't pick up a vehicle when it drives right up to the camera."
Recorded C884DA frame rate
"The specs for the C884DA 4K camera state that it provides a frame rate of 15 fps at 4K resolution. Take note that the D881A82B DVR will record video from the C884DA 4K camera at a maximum frame rate of 7 fps regardless of the DVR resolution setting. If the DVR is set to record at 4K the maximum frame rate is 7 fps. If the DVR is set to record all the way down to 1080P the maximum frame rate is still 7 fps. The camera and the DVR specs both say that they are compatible with each other. This seems like a significant limitation given that the two devices are advertised as being compatible."
Works good. But The wiring
"Works good. But The wiring is different on the new camera to the old one. Although it works with the new wiring, I had to change the old wiring which was a lot of extra work."
Great at first. Not so good in long term.
"Out of the box these cameras were great. Shortly after the warranty expired 2 of the 6 cameras I had originally failed. I am now at between 2-3 years with these cameras and only 2 of them are working. Not a great product. I expected more from Lorex."

- Can I adapt the cameras to support audio recording? In the system it has audio setting but don't understand the purpose of it if the cameras cannot record audio.
- Depending on the recorder, you can connect a microphone to the recorder to enable audio recording for one of the channels, but you cannot adapt the camera.
- I got 2 model C884DA-Z camera that just stopped working and blinks a blue light. What is going on with them. Yet the others are still working fine. I even tried to place in a different channel.
