- Battery life is dependent on a number of factors, such as number of events or notifications, length of the recording, camera location, ambient temperature, and settings on the camera.
- Require a high-speed internet connection and a Wi-Fi router (not included) that supports 2.4Ghz. A minimum upload and download speed of 10 Mbps is required for optimal performance.
- Install wire-free, using the built-in (non-removable) battery. For wired installation, a voltage range of 8-24 VAC is required. If the voltage is less, a transformer will be required to operate properly. Consult with a licensed electrician.
- Audio and video recordings without consent, is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Technology does not assume liability for any use of its product that fails to conform to local laws.
- Person Detection accuracy is compromised when the face and/or body is partially covered.
- Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered area is recommended.
- When MicroSD card storage is full the older previously recorded video will automatically be overwritten with the latest recordings. NOTE: There is a limited number of write/re-write cycles rated by the MicroSD card, before performance is reduced.

I like that my footage
"I like that my footage is mine and not part of a cloud BUT this doorbell is just OK. I find poor communication w the app to view sometimes. What footage it captures vs what is missed is annoying. Sometimes doesn't capture a person on recording until after they are walking away from door. I wish the battery version came in 4k. The Lorex app isn’t great"
Decent, except for it dropping
"Decent, except for it dropping off my network 3-4 times a week"
Blows. I cannot set it
"Blows. I cannot set it up for the life of me. Hate it"
No go doorbell
"The doorbell camera is a hit or miss. Camera alerts me and nobody is at the camera and motion is set to the lowest two lines on motion detection. When there is someone at the doorbell it does not alert me. Needs massive firmware improvements."
Poor battery life
"The quality of the camera is good and gives a clear picture, the battery however does not last very long at all. I have person and vehicle detection turned off so it only records if someone walks upto the door. If the doorbell camera didn't have the ability to be hardwired for power I would have returned the camera."
Picture quality is excellent. Very
"Picture quality is excellent. Very easy to set up. But not as reliable as our PTZ wi-fi cams. The problems are that this battery cam misses a lot of the front porch deliveries and doesn't alert us to people or motion much of the time. It is only 15 feet from the nearest of our mesh routers. It seems to have trouble waking up after no activity for a while. Also some trouble staying connected to the NVR."
I really enjoy and like
"I really enjoy and like Lorex products and have been expanding the many we already own. I even have replaced my Arlo systems with Lorex because I find their cameras, software and speed is so much better. However, I will say, the wif-fi connectivity of the doorbell is not near as strong or reliable as my other wireless Lorex cameras. My other Lorex WiFi cameras are nearly instant when viewing and interacting, but the Doorbell simply is not as reliable or as speedy. I've tested it and a different wireless Lorex camera side by side and my other Lorex Wifi cameras are still very good and the doorbell connection just does not appear to be as powerful or reliable."
Too much trouble, not worth
"Too much trouble, not worth the cost. Won't stay connected to internet and won't connect to Lorex Home device. Won’t record as described. Records 10seconds at a time even when settings are changed to 5 minutes."
After over a dozen attempts
"After over a dozen attempts to pair with the app, an hour on the phone with customer service and adjusting the router I had to return th cameras."
Sometimes the device won't let
"Sometimes the device won't let me view the live stream. I think the device connection to the internet is sometimes intermittent which is not a product of my internet coverage."
