Q&A

Will this work in place of my Flir 8 ch-mpx? My box is a M31080. Thank you for your help Cindy
You can check the compatibility list for the switch at the link below. Please note that if your recorder does not appear on this list, it will not be compatible with the switch: https://www.lorex.com/pages/compatibility?dt=PoE%20Switches&dp=379
If i "Do Not" have internet, Do I still need to purchase a router. This system is Direct poe wired , not a Wi-Fi system. What is the purpose of the router. Also does it matter what kind of router i need.?
The router must assign an IP address to the recorder and the PoE switch, so yes, if you want to additionally install a PoE switch on your NVR, you will need to have a router at your location, as it will not work directly connected to the NVR.
Can this be used to run multiple cameras from a single cable?
Cameras must be connected to the PoE switch, the PoE switch to the router, and the router to the NVR, it is not possible to connect the PoE switch directly to the recorder.
Is it to be connected to direct NVR POE port or to a router ?
It must be connected to the router, not on one of the NVR ports.
