3. Smart Motion Detection is enabled by default. When enabled, the camera's recording frame rate is reduced from 30 frames per second to 20 frames per second. To obtain the maximum of 30 frames per second, the camera must be connected to a recorder that supports the maximum frame rate. 4. Color nighttime video typically switches to black & white IR night vision when there is not sufficient ambient light to ensure optimal low-light image quality.
5. Stated IR illumination range is based on ideal conditions in typical outdoor nighttime ambient lighting (up to 98ft/30m in total darkness). Actual range and image clarity depends on installation location,
viewing area and light reflection/absorption.
6. In order for Person and Vehicle detection to operate, this camera requires a connection to a compatible Lorex Network Video Recorder with smart motion detection technology. For a list of compatible

7. Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered area recommended.
8. A microSD card can be inserted for independent recording. Data can be accessed through the camera using a web browser but will not upload to the NVR or to the cloud for mobile app viewing.

Simple with good optics, but some reliability issues.
"I like the simplicity of the basic bullet camera with no moving lenses. The field of view and image quality are both good and the infrared mode used at night works well up close, though by the time an object gets around 40 feet away, image quality seems to degrade and a 'ghost' of a moving object often trails it. Unfortunately, one of my cameras stopped working within about 48 hours of installation. Warranty service was quick, though. The new unit has now been in place for several weeks and seems to be holding up. Since these were replacements for older Lorex units that had survived the original warranty period, but failed later, installation was as simple as attaching the new cameras to the mounts and cables that were already in place. I hope these units will last longer than those they replaced, because I really do like the optics and features."

"Infarred is junk. Only one little infarred light, which is not enough, so at night I can't see. Why? Engineering blunder? unlike your other cameras that have 2 or more infared lights. Your support staff is not helpful. Takes forever to get help then the same day they suggest I move the camera, you close my ticket the same day, so now i have to call you? Versus continuing the conversation. Zero stars."
