"Order 4 cameras...3 worked 1 didn't. After ~45 minutes of Lorex support diagnostic they agreeed to ship a replacement. Received replacement within a week. Came right up. I have 16 of hese cameras on 2 LHSC. for ~14 months. Only had one other camera continually go off line. Lorex sent replacemnt. Unfortuantely...I keep geting the update firmware notices...and the system will not update them even when I try to do it by using update now. Tech support says don't update - system might start crashing. HUH..."

- Hello Lorex Support Team. I recently purchased 2add on wire free cameras (U471AA) for my Lorex Smart Home Security System from EBay. I had no problem connecting it to my system! The problem is that batteries lasted for about 4 days (not to mention that the weather was between 40-50 degrees). I contacted the seller and they responded that this purchase is covered by Lorex Waranty! I really hope that you can provide me with some kind of support with this issue! - I ordered a replacement camera and your rep said you no longer have the 2k camera and said the 4k is comparable. Now the new camera is not for my nvr.

- Do you have to purchase the Hub for this to work? I have 2 other Lorex indoor cameras that are so superior to a Blink system I also have but dont want to purchase another Hub system. I currently can do live views and watch recorded motion up to 3 days after it is recorded. Is that what I will get with the outdoor camera??

- Will this camera detect animals like cats/raccoons?
- This camera doesn't support animal detection, but it does detect general motion; so, it will detect motion from animals like cats and raccoons.
- I noticed the camera has a micro-SD card slot next to the battery. If I insert a card into this slot and place the camera out of range of the hub, will the camera record to the card that's in it's own slot?
- Yes, the camera will record to the SD card, but if it is not reachable by the hub, it will be disconnected and no video can be recorded or retrieved.
