Is the 16T hard drive solid state ?: No, all recorders operate with mechanical hard drives, and they must be equipped with surveillance‑grade hard drives.
My documentation seems to indicate my Lorex N863A6 16 ch S/N LNR27988043CF80 will accommodate only 2 8 TB drives yet your site says I can use one 16 TB Seagate AI hard drive. Will the Seagate 16TB AI hard drive work and do I have to set any jumpers or software setup?: This recorder supports up to two 8 TB hard drives, for a maximum capacity of 16 TB. A single 16 TB hard drive cannot be installed.
Will this work in NVR Model No. N920A6-Z? Really looking for a 16TB HD for this model NVR I have.: Yes! The N920A6-Z recorder is designed with a single hard drive bay, supporting a capacity of up to 16TB (SATA).
Is this compatible with? N4K3SL-1612WB NVR. Will it work? Lorex NVR.: No, the N864 recorder included in that package has 2 bays, each supporting up to 8 TB.
Do I have to buy the 16TB (ST16000VE000) Hard Drive from Lorex in order for it to work, or can I buy it from Amazon?: Please note that you must add a WD Purple or Seagate hard drive to Lorex recorders.
