I think the Lorax company

"I think the Lorax company should really concentrate on their customer service. I expressly stated that I was visually impaired, and I needed to talk through my purchase with a representative. Re-stating that I was visually impaired. I talked about if I was receiving everything I needed to get the system up and running and I was told yes. I do not have the ability to read on the website on my own, so I asked the representative to clarify and again he stated that my system came with everything I needed. when I received the equipment, there were no cables in the box. I had hired a company to come out and install my cameras for me and since there were no cables in the box, I could not get the cameras installed, but I still had to pay my crew for coming out. at this point, Lorax is now cost me $300. I didn't need to spend. I then called the company to inquire about the missing cables and they told me that no cables came with that system when I explained what it happened. They told me there's nothing they could do for me. We went round and round and they still said there was nothing they could do for me. I was then forced to buy cables from your company at a separate charge and since the total bill was under X amount of dollars I had to pay for shipping. I was within two dollars of having the appropriate amount for free shipping and they would not work with me. so I was required to not only buy the cables, but then pay for shipping as well. I had to reschedule the crew to come out and install the cameras which then again cost me more money. When a company makes an error, they should own up to it and take care of the customer. and one step further, even if the customer made an error, the company should work with that customer to make them happy. your company did neither. My first Lorax camera purchase of eight or 10 years ago never worked well. Two of my eight cameras never showed me a nighttime picture. When I called to discuss this, they told me I would need to purchase better cables and it would cost me more and they would charge me to send them to me. When preparing to buy my new system, all indications were that the Lorax company had changed and their camera and customer service were much better. i'm still working on setting up the system to see if the cameras are any better but your Customer Service still stinks. for $90 you could've had a very happy customer and for $2. 80 you could've had a satisfied customer $90 being the cost of the cables and $2. 80 was how short I was on getting free delivery. If your company is willing to work with me, I will hold off on Registering complaints with a Better Business Bureau. I have invested twice with your company and expect better customer service. if I receive no communication, I will continue to fill out the consumer reports referral and I will also go out of my way to tell people never buy a Lorax system. I hope to hear from your company with a resolution to this problem."

Tremendous mistake (Zero stars if I could)

"I should have listened to my gut. My experience with Lorex started with a representative who had a nasty attitude via email while negotiating the sale. His communication was poor and his demeanor was unprofessional; that should have been my cue to walk away. Instead, I made the mistake of purchasing my fourth system from this company, believing I was getting a worthy 4K upgrade with two-way audio. It has been a disaster ever since. Shipping & Customer Service Failures The delivery was delayed and arrived incomplete—I received only the NVR. When I contacted Lorex to report the missing cameras, they treated me like a criminal. I was accused of receiving items I hadn't, and I was shuffled between departments for days, forced to repeat the same statements over and over. Eventually, they "discovered" the cameras were still sitting in their own warehouse. The "Hidden" Costs of Installation Despite being a loyal customer, this was the first system that included zero cables. They expected me to pay over $400 for cables. Transitioning from an older BNC setup to Power over Ethernet (PoE) required a massive amount of labor to rewire my entire property, only to be met with a mediocre outcome. While the 4K clarity is an improvement, it is nowhere near worth the price tag or the physical exhaustion of the install. Broken Features & Useless Support The advertised smart features are a complete joke: False Triggers: Person and vehicle detection do not work as advertised. The alarms go off constantly regardless of settings. Blind Zones: The cameras are seemingly incapable of capturing movement within the specific zones I have painstakingly set. Glitchy Hardware: The integrated lights are difficult to control and refuse to follow the "off" commands. When I reached out to customer service for technical help, they were once again useless. This is officially the last time I will ever give Lorex my money. If you are looking for a security system that actually works and a company that treats you with respect, look toward their superior competitors."
