"Overall excellent camera only a couple issues that need to be addressed. The power light is too bright need to be able to dim the light. I recommend to include cat5e cabling with camera package and not be sold separately. Also, recommend to customers not to use existing cat5e cable."

"This turret camera is very good and sturdy. Made of metal materials even the back plate which helps to hold it in place in the even of vandalism. You can also program to activate a different color once someone get close as detterence. You can have spotlight set up and then the blue color led light up purple,green which ever color you like."

Can this be viewed live with the lorex app? And can events be seen on the app without an NVR: The E896SD camera can be viewed live (and recorded events) using the Lorex app as long as it is connected to an NVR. Without one, the camera can only record to an SD card, without the possibility of remote viewing.
In addition to deterrence lights, I am unable to format and initiate local Micro SD recording on my new E863SD because I cannot access the camera settings. Also, a long press (15+ seconds) of the reset button does not result in an audible confirmation sound. I have successfully connected my E863SD to Synology Surveillance Station with good results but am unable to control the deterrence lights. Will the lighting on this camera work via Power over Ethernet?: Yes, the lights will work without additional power for the cameras, just with the camera connected to the recorder via the Ethernet cable.
